Be a Part of a Motherhood Research Study

A note for expecting moms out there: a Bentley College professor is conducting an international research project on motherhood. If you think you might be interested, read on about the requirements for participating in the study. Also, if you know of someone who might want to participate, please forward them this info.

I am part of a 7 person team that is examining motherhood as a transitional stage. We have already begun the conceptual work (which has produced three conference papers thus far) and are now beginning the primary research stage.

I am looking for participants who qualify using the following criteria:

1. she must be pregnant with her first child
2. she must be at least 35 weeks pregnant
3. she must be accessible to me to meet with her in person (within I-495 range)

I will interview each participant twice, once before the baby is born and once after, and she will also be asked to keep a diary of purchases related to preparing for the baby's arrival.

I would appreciate any leads you may be able to send my way or if you yourself qualify, please contact me either at sdobscha@bentley.edu or 781.891.2042 so that we can meet and further discuss the project.

You may also forward this email to others who may know someone.

Thank you in advance for your support of this research project.
